Sari Siitonen has more than 20 years of experience in the energy field. She has previously worked in the Confederation of Finnish Industries (EK), gas company Gasum and consulting and engineering company Pöyry. Sari has a Dr.Sc. Tech. degree from Aalto University and Executive MBA degree from Jyväskylä University School of Business and Economics.
In EK, Sari worked as a director of sustainable business and was responsible for climate, energy, environmental and logistics issues. In addition, she focused on the development of the Cleantech Finland brand and the circular economy.

In 2014-2015, Sari worked as a vice president at Gasum. At first, her responsibilities were strategy, corporate responsibility and then also public affairs. At the end, she was responsible for sustainability and innovation.
In her previous position as a technology manager (2008-2013), Sari coordinated research and development activities and developed Gasum’s innovation process based on open innovation.
Organizing Finland’s first IndustryHack hackathon in the energy field and two innovation competitions named Hyvän ilman lintu are examples of Sari’s achievements at Gasum.
In 2010 Sari finished her doctoral dissertation at Aalto University.
